Hogs, Heifers & Homesteads

October 11, 2021 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Free – $5

In honor of farmers, farming and food, join us for an evening of sharing your stuff & stories.

Did you grow up on a farm? Did you show any animals at a country fair? Drive a tractor? Or bail hay? Did you join a community garden or roof-top urban farm?

Have you worked on a farm? Do you know how to milk a cow?

Do you pride yourself in knowing where your food comes from? Who picks it & delivers it?

Farm unions & food coops? You get the picture…. Everything farm related has a story.

We would love to hear your stories, or perhaps you would rather just listen to them, it’s all good!

FYI: While working on trademarking my business, I found out I couldn’t ™ Show & Tales. My lawyer advised me to add something before S&T. I searched for months & finally found the word Thingtide. Thing’s are what we bring to my events & tide like the tide rolling in. It was perfect AND it’s the name of a Viking harvest gathering. The people gathered to make sure there was enough food for the community to make it through the long cold winters. I came across this in a book my Mom gave me called One Woman Farm by Jenna Woginrich. She has a little homestead in upstate NY called Cold Antler Farm.

A quote from Jenna: “We need inspiration, hope & tradition as much as we need calories.”
